Nu Rotterdam nog bij vlagen wordt gehinderd door een zinderende hitte hebben wij ons best gedaan om daar een passende soundtrack bij te vinden. De Togo All Stars zijn afkomstig uit, u raadt het al, Togo. Een langwerpig land aan de West-Afrikaanse kust dat wordt ingesloten door Ghana, Burkina Faso en Benin. Normaliter voegen wij geen aardrijkskundeles toe aan onze recensies, maar in dit geval is het weldegelijk van belang, aangezien de Togo All Stars je meenemen op een safari door West-Afrika waarbij ze alle muzikale invloeden uit hun omgeving mixen tot een volledig eigen geluid. In de praktijk komt het er op neer dat zij op zeer creatieve wijze afro-funk, jazz, blues, salsa en voodoobeats in de kookpot gooien en daar een smakelijke muzikale maaltijd uit bereiden waarbij het moeilijk stil zitten is.
